In Loving Memory of Willie Mae Merritt

Mrs. Willie Mae Merritt, age 83, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, peacefully entered eternal rest on June 4, 2026, in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. She was born on February 6, 1943, in Summerton, South Carolina, to the late Idella Tinsdal and Fredinand Brailsford.

Willie Mae was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was marked by faith, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. She dedicated more than thirty years of her life serving others as a Home Health Aide, providing comfort, care, and companionship to countless individuals in need.

A faithful member of Greater Shiloh, Willie Mae loved the Lord and found great joy in praising Him. Her faith was evident in the way she lived, loved, and encouraged those around her. She enjoyed walking, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. Her warm smile, caring spirit, and words of wisdom will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving daughters: Ella Graham (Mitchel Graham), Renay Lewin, Regina Johnson (Calvin Johnson), and Stefanie Hart (Leon Hart). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Tony Lee Green, Jessica Regina Williams, Jada Christine Johnson, Kayleen Graham, and Marcus Graham. She was also blessed with two beloved great-grandchildren, Taliyah Valentina Green and Anthony Calvin Green.

Willie Mae is further survived by her sister, Dorothy Garris; her brother, Thomas Brailsford; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Terrence Lewin, and five brothers and two sisters.

Though our hearts are saddened by her passing, we rejoice in knowing that she is now resting in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served. Her legacy of faith, love, service, and devotion to family will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.

Homegoing services at Greater Shiloh Church- Stroudsburg Campus on June 18th, 2026. There will be a visitation at 3 pm and the service will begin at 3:30 pm.
