William A. Brown Jr. of Effort, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on June 4, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and warm memories. He was born on November 13, 1956, in La Lima Honduras.  Bill came to the United States in 1964 at the age of 7 and resided in Brownsville NY.

William dedicated many years of his life to his career as an administrator at Verizon, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. After retiring, he poured his energy into the things he cherished most: his family, music, and watching sports. A proud graduate of South Shore High School in Brooklyn and a student of Lee University in Chattanooga, Tennessee, William carried the values learned during this time throughout his life.

In 1979, he enlisted in the Air Force, serving honorably as an administrative specialist. This service increased in him a profound respect for discipline and responsibility, traits that his parents instilled, and that he would carry into every facet of his life. He was a motivator and encourager, always supporting those he loved to achieve their dreams.

Family was everything to William. His wife, Emori, stood by his side as a partner in the journey of life, sharing countless happy moments and adventures. He cherished his children—William III and his wife Constance, Jessica, Tiffany and her husband Christopher, and Samantha—who filled his heart with pride and joy. His greatest joys were found in the laughter and love of his grandchildren, whom he adored beyond measure. In earlier years, he served his families church well, driving the van for Sunday school and making amazing memories with the members of First Triumphant Church of Jesus Christ Inc.

William was known for his giving nature and a sense of humor that could brighten any room. While he had a serious side that commanded respect, his love for music and dance brought out the joy in life. He was a man who valued deep connections, relishing the time spent together with family and friends, and his warmth and kindness will forever be remembered.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Haydie Brown, and his brother Eugene Solomon Brown. They welcomed him with open arms, and together they watch over those left behind.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings Wanda Brown- Miranda, Tyrone Brown, David Alfonso Brown, Bishop Bani Braham Brown, Claudia Brown -Ryan, John Terry Brown, and Natalie Brown- Gore.

A viewing and funeral will be held on June 13, 2025, at the Greater Shiloh North Campus in Stroudsburg, PA. Family and friends are invited to gather and share stories, celebrate his remarkable life, and honor the profound impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
