Tommie Lee Ward

Tommie Lee Ward was born on June 26, 1957, in Easton, Pennsylvania, to the late Gloria Ward. He peacefully departed this life on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Bethlehem Skilled Nursing Home.Tommie was the oldest of seven children. He leaves behind his loving siblings: brother Darnell Williams of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania; brother Gregory Ward of Allentown, Pennsylvania; and sister Glory D. Ward of Allentown, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his sister Vera Ward Kelly of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; his sister Charlotte Ward Alford of Cuthbert, Georgia; and his brother Legustard “Butch” Ward. Tommie also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Tommie attended Easton Area High School and graduated with the Class of 1975. He lived in Easton, Pennsylvania until 1999, when he moved to Cuthbert, Georgia.

Tommie was a man of very few words, but he had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone when possible. He loved his family and friends deeply. Although he was never married and had no children of his own, he took a special interest in all of his nieces and nephews and cared for them as if they were his own.

Tommie enjoyed smiling, dancing, spending time in nature, playing family games, and attending cookouts. His favorite thing of all was walking. He loved walking all around Easton, Pennsylvania and Cuthbert, Georgia, enjoying the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life.

Tommie will be remembered for his quiet spirit, kind heart, and the love he shared with everyone around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services at the Shiloh Chapel will take place on Tuesday March 17th, 2026. The viewing will take place from 4 to 5 pm, and service officiated by the Rev. Dr. Carolyn Evans will begin at 5 pm. A full obituary is forthcoming.
