Pasquale “Pat” “Pops” Arace, 77, of Randolph, New Jersey, transitioned peacefully on May 19, 2026.
Born on June 16, 1948, in Newark, New Jersey, Pasquale was the beloved son of the late Vito Arace and Carmela Malvani. He spent his early years in Newark before later making Randolph, New Jersey his home.
Pasquale was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, family man, and loyal friend whose warm personality and love for music touched countless lives. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree and worked faithfully as a manager throughout his career. Known for his creativity and appreciation of the arts, Pasquale found joy in reading, movies, music, sports, and playing various musical instruments. He especially loved singing doo-wop music, which brought smiles and memories to all who heard him. He also was an avid gardener, and had a love for house plants.
A faithful member of the Catholic faith, Pasquale proudly served as an altar boy in his youth. His faith and strong family values remained important throughout his life.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving children: Gina Yohe and her husband Brent, Pasquale Arace Jr. and Jess Stanley, and Dion Arace and Virginia Evans, as well as his ex wife Dorothy Arace Ogrady. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Donna, Brittany, Paige, Korraine, Lauren, Anthony, David, Joseph, Deanna, and great grandfather to Wyatt, Julian, Alex, Eloise, Amelia, and Brooke. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his brother Vito Arace.
Pasquale also leaves behind his lifelong friend Ralph Porzilli, with whom he shared an extraordinary 77-year friendship, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever treasure his humor, kindness, music, and wisdom.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by loved ones who welcomed him into eternal rest.
Pasquale will be remembered for his love of family, his musical spirit, his appreciation for art and culture, and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy of love, laughter, and song will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Services will be private with the family.
