Michelle Stanton of Lithonia Georgia gained her wings on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Michelle was born on August 13, 1966, in Bethlehem PA to the late Rose Mae (Purcell) Stanton and William Walker. She grew up in Bethlehem and graduated from Liberty High School in 1985.
In 1995 Michele relocated to Decatur Georgia where she raised her two children and two grandchildren. She lived there for 30 years, but she always made her way back home to visit the family. Michelle worked in accounting from the age of 18 until her illness forced her to retire early. In all of her medical issues and conditions she was strong and never gave up. She pushed herself as far as she could. Michelle wasn’t a member at a specific church, but she believed in God and Jesus Christ.
Michelle lived a life of integrity, compassion and joy. She touched the life of many with her kindness and wisdom leaving behind a profound impact on her family and friends. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, cousin and friend, her unconditional love and unwavering support brought comfort to those around her. Her warm smile could brighten anyone’s day.
Michelle lived a life of simplicity, finding joy in the little things and cherishing moments spent with loved ones. She enjoyed a good cocktail and loved music. In the early days you could find her at the Coffee House, and in her later years at Jay’s in Georgia snapping her fingers and enjoying life. She truly enjoyed a good time, especially with her family.
