John M. Rothschild, Esq., 74, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at Lehigh Valley Hospital. John was the beloved son of the late Joan and James Rothschild.

John is lovingly remembered by his brother Peter Rothschild (Linda;) his sister Kathryn Simcox and nephews Greg Simcox (Anna,) and Ty Simcox (Cailey;) and his great-nephew Miles Simcox, as well as several cousins Kenneth, Nancy and Alice. He is also survived by his wonderful and loyal friends, Joan and Guy Bartolacci, Walt and Julie Garvin, and his dear friend Barbara Redmond.

John’s intelligence, integrity, and wit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He pursued his education after Gateway Regional High School at Lehigh University before earning his Juris Doctor degree from Widener University Law School in Harrisburg. Throughout his career, he practiced law with dedication and professionalism.

John was an Episcopalian whose faith was an important part of his life. He enjoyed tennis and golf and was a devoted fan of Lehigh University athletics, the New York Yankees, and the Philadelphia Eagles. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his lifelong friends. Whether gathering for conversation, attending Musikfest, or cheering on his favorite teams, John treasured the relationships that enriched his life.

Those who knew John will remember his sharp mind, loyal friendship, sense of humor, and genuine appreciation for life's simple pleasures. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him. Services will be held privately with family and friends at a later date.
