John Earl Kelley 84 of Easton, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, June 6, 2025. Born February 11, 1941, in Abbeville, Alabama he was the son of the late Alex and Mammie (McCloud) Kelley. John and his beloved wife Dot shared over 60 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, cherished memories, and deep devotion. Together, they created a beautiful home and family. They resided in Easton, Pennsylvania, but spent their early years in New York, where they lovingly raised their children. John, the owner and founder of Kelley’s Auto Body Shop, built a legacy of hard work, dedication and a passion for cars. Known for his expert craftsmanship and commitment to his community earning the trust and respect of all who walked through its doors. Beyond his business, John found joy in the roar of engines at drag races, always eager to witness the speed and skill of the competitors. When he wasn’t immersed in the automotive world, he enjoyed shooting pool, a pastime where he enjoyed much like his work in the shop. Johns love for cars, racing and friendly competition, will be fondly remembered by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Pop touched the lives of so many and leaves to cherish the memories of his late wife Dot, daughter Veronica & John Freeman; three sons Calvin Kelley & Jennifer Barber, Stacey & Ada Kelley, Anthony & Gina Kelley; ten grandchildren, Chad & Tenesha Alford, Selena & Derek Fagan, Lakera Kelley, Jessica & William Benitez, Genisha Kelley, Alexis Peterson, Jaden Kelley, Troy Kelley, Amanda & Jordan Rigby and Ashley Barber. Thirteen great grandchildren: Daizhun, Taliah, Jeziah, La’Kyah, Zarielle, Jelaiya, Miguel, Izabella, Gabriella, Zoey, Elijah, Izaak and Jeremiah; great- great grandchildren Rah’Kye, Kye’aire and Enzo. Five brothers; Sam Kelley, Walter Kelley, Leander Kelley, Bobby Kelley, three sisters Minnie Hargrove, Carldine Williamson and Ella Smith. He was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.
