Gloria A. Johnson

Gloria Ann Johnson, 72, of Easton, passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2026.

Born on September 2, 1953, in Easton, she was the daughter of the late William B. Johnson and Jo-Ann (Hicks) Johnson.

After graduating from Easton Area High School in 1971, Gloria earned an associate degree in accounting from Churchman’s Business School. She was well known for her years as manager of the historic Dollar Shoe Store in downtown Easton. Later, she worked in the shipping department at Avanti Textiles in Southside Easton until her retirement in 2005.

Gloria was a dedicated board member and volunteer with the Boys & Girls Club of Easton, where she positively impacted the lives of many young people. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and commitment to her community.

Gloria is survived by her loving daughter, Shakira Swakcerd, and son-in-law, Roberto; her grandchildren, Kyrah and Jelani; her granddaughter, Brittney Williams and two great grandchildren. Niece, Tiffany L. Theadford and her husband, Joseph Sr., along with their three children; Niece , Sharisse Costello and her daughter; Her devoted caregiver Shelly and many cherished relatives and close friends.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her son, Amos D. Johnson; her brother, Tyron P. Johnson; and her sister, Sharon L. Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, at Shiloh Chapel. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Northampton Memorial Shrine.
