Edward Sosa

Edward "Eddie" "Pop" Sosa, 69, of Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, at Bethlehem South Nursing Center.

Born on January 19, 1957, in the Bronx, New York, Edward was the beloved son of the late Angel and Louisa Sosa. He spent much of his life in North Catasauqua, where he was known for his kind heart, easygoing nature, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Edward worked as a local truck driver for more than 30 years, earning the respect of those who knew him through his strong work ethic and dependability. He was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures and believed that time spent with family was time well spent.

A faithful member of the Catholic faith, Edward lived a quiet life centered on those he loved most. He had a passion for fishing, especially spending time on the piers of New Jersey and New York, where he found peace and relaxation. He also loved cooking, often preparing meals that brought family together around the table. His interests included classic cars, hunting, and, above all, creating lasting memories with his grandchildren. Known affectionately as "Eddie" and "Pop," he had a wonderful sense of humor and could always be counted on to tell a classic "dad joke" that brought smiles and laughter to those around him.

Edward is lovingly survived by his son, Edward Sosa and his wife, Jennifer; his daughter, AriAnna Gonzales and her husband, Andres; and his cherished grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher, and Joshua Sosa, and Isabella and Sophia Gonzales. He is also survived by his sister, Judy Sosa; his relative, Anthony D'Alessandro; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss his warmth, humor, and gentle spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Angel and Louisa Sosa; his siblings, Angelo Sosa and Gladys; and his beloved companion, Doris Rosado.

Edward will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest happiness came from caring for his family. His kindness, peaceful nature, quick wit, and generous heart will continue to live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know him. Though he will be deeply missed, his love and the memories he created will be treasured forever.
