Edward Lewis Allen

Edward Lewis Allen, of Roseto, passed away on September 20, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Hecktown Oaks. Born in Beckley, West Virginia, he was the son of the late William Lewis Allen and the late Thelma Neoma (Dolinger) Allen.

Ed was the beloved husband of Janice (Devers) Allen. The two were married on September 14, 1979, and rededicated their vows and love to one another in September 2004 in celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary.

Ed was the oldest of five children. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ron and Alan, and his niece, Amber.

Surviving Ed, in addition to his wife, Janice, are his sisters, Kathy and Deb; his nieces, Alicia, Kelly, and Angel; and his nephew, Ron Jr. He is also survived by Ron Jr.’s mother, Cindy; Angel’s mother, Liz; and Liz’s children, Skylar and Brandon.

Ed was a man of many talents. Throughout his life, he worked in a chemical factory, served as a chef at several establishments, and worked in various areas of construction, including spackling and sheetrock installation on stilts. His talents, presence, and love for his family will truly be missed.

Services will be held at Rose of Sharon Church at a later date.

“My beloved husband transitioned to his eternal home with Jesus on September 20, 2026, and he will forever be in my heart. He was a member of Rose of Sharon Church in Easton, Pennsylvania. He was an overcomer, a born-again believer, and one of God’s beloved children.

“He taught himself to play my keyboard and his guitars. On Sundays, he would praise the Lord, first giving insight from God’s Word and then playing his guitar and praising the Lord in song, worshipping his Lord and Savior.

“John 3:16—Ed has his everlasting life, and I encourage everyone to ask Jesus to forgive their sins and believe. There is a Heaven and Hell, and the choice is yours. Choose Jesus. It’s the most important decision you will ever make.

“God will never leave you nor forsake you. He will see you through whatever you have to go through in this life and be there with open arms to welcome you to your eternal home.”
