Christine "Peaches" McDowell

Christine LaShawn McDowell, affectionately known as "Peaches," was born on July 22, 1974, and was raised in the Bronx, New York, as one of five children. She was the beloved daughter of Beverly McDowell and Robert Patterson.

Christine was a faithful Christian and a member of Greater Shiloh Church, where she served in various ministries over the years. She was known for her kind spirit, willingness to help others, and ability to see the good in people. As a licensed cosmetologist, she used her talents to help women look and feel their best.

Christine leaves to cherish her memory her children, Tyrone McDowell Henry, Tahquan McDowell, and Dennis Bottoms; her parents, Beverly McDowell and Robert Patterson; her siblings, Tony Patterson, Jennifer Patterson, Gloria Patterson, and Ashley Patterson; her grandchildren, Jeniyah Fitch, Dennis Bottoms Jr., and David Bottoms; and her nephews, Daniel Patterson and Jeremiah Patterson.

She is also lovingly remembered by her spiritual mother, Verlene Oliver, and special friends Thomasina Judge and Betty Wagner, who faithfully supported her throughout her illness.

Christine will be remembered for her faith, her caring heart, and the many lives she touched through her service, friendship, and love for her family.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday June 22, 2026 from 6-8 pm. An additional viewing at the Shiloh Chapel will follow on Tuesday June 23, 2026 from 12 pm-1 pm, followed by the celebration of life service.
