Chad Allen Hess

Chad A. Hess, 46, of Bangor, Pennsylvania, passed away so suddenly. He was born in Fountain Hill, Pennsylvania, to Larry and Judith Hess. Chad attended Easton Area High School.

Chad had a natural talent for fixing things and was the person people could count on when something needed to be repaired. He started his own small engine repair company for this purpose. From lawnmowers and dirt bikes to motorcycles and just about anything else with an engine, Chad could usually figure it out. But his willingness to help went far beyond fixing machines. If a friend or family member needed something, Chad was often the one they could call.

Chad was a man who loved life, adventure, and, most of all, his family. He was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Yankees. He was never without his lucky Yankees hat or favorite black Steelers hoodie. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, playing pool, working on cars, riding motorcycles and just being around those who loved. He especially enjoyed spending time outdoors and sharing the things he loved with his children. Some of his favorite memories were teaching his kids how to ride dirt bikes and four-wheelers. How to change your tire and oil or how to fix anything around the house. Chad was someone who loved teaching and showing you how to do things on your own. He spent a lot of time with his nephews and nieces as well. Chad was that fun uncle that everyone loved.

He had a big personality and an even bigger heart. Chad loved to dance and sing, often enjoying country music, old-school hip hop, and reggae. He knew how to have a good time and had a way of bringing laughter and energy wherever he went. He was a son, a friend, a brother, a father, an uncle, a grandfather, and a person who left his mark on many lives.

Chad’s greatest legacy will live on through the people he loved and the memories he created.

He is survived by his parents, Larry and Judith Hess; his former wife and mother of his children, Gillian; their children, Isaiah, Jordan, Jacob, and Kayla; and his grandchildren, Kyren, Maddox, and Kaiya.

He is also survived by his nephews, Anthony, Jayvon, Camron, and LeBron, who were like sons to him; his siblings, Scott (Jody), Mark (Debbie), and Lisa (Jeb), all of Bangor; his godparents, the late Robert Weiner and Carol Neigh; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones who will deeply miss him.

Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Lillie Hess and Stuart and Mary Weiner.

Though his time here was far too short, Chad leaves behind a lifetime of memories, stories, laughter, and love. His voice, his music, his willingness to lend a hand, and the memories made riding, fishing, hunting, dancing, and simply being together will never be forgotten.

Services honoring Chad's life will take place on Monday September 7th, 2026 at Forks UCC Church. Closed casket visitation will take place from 11-11:30 AM, and the celebration of life service will follow at 11:30 AM.
