Benjamin Harris Jr. was born and raised in Easton Pennsylvania on February 28th, 1963. He passed away as God called for him on April 25th, 2025 at 8 AM on that Friday morning.
Benjamin was known for his delightful spirit and remarkable kindness that touched the lives of many.
He was the son of the late Benjamin Harris and the late Mae Artha Harris. Benjamin is survived by his two loving sisters, Deborah Jean Harris and Yvette Marie Harris. He also shared a deep bond with his lifelong companion, Theresa Lynn Hanks, and proudly helped raised her daughter, Alicia Ortiz. He was also the father of his late son Isaiah.
For those who really knew Benjamin, knew that he had a big warm heart and willingness to lend a helping hand, making him a friend to many.
In Benjamins's younger years, he had a passion for basketball. During his childhood, be earned sports awards for his achievements at St. Anthony's Youth Center and PAL in Easton PA.
His work history had him engaging in construction as a laborer (something he liked to do), showcasing his strong work ethic until he faced challenges that led to his disability.
Benjamin was an avid lover of music, especially R&B. He played around with the guitar, and his favorite R&B bands were Earth, Wind, and Fire, and the GAP Band.
Benjamin proudly supported the Philadelphia Eagles and took immense pride in his appearance, often dressing to impress with stylish attire and sneakers to match. His pride and joy was his beard.
Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects at the Viewing on May 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Union AME Church, located at 144 E Nesquehoning St, Easton, PA 18042. A Funeral Service will immediately follow, with burial taking place at the Historic Easton Cemetery.
Benjamin Harris leaves behind a lasting impact on all who knew him, remembered for his kindness and the joy he brought into their lives. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of family and friends.
